A so-called studio camera, designed for taking large-format photographs indoors. It is mounted on a massive wooden tripod supported by three legs connected by two shelves. The camera consists of two parts: wooden walls connected by a black canvas bellows reinforced with leather at the corners. The front wall houses an interchangeable lens, while the rear wall houses a frame with a focusing screen into which photosensitive film cartridges are inserted. The bellows slides on guides mounted on the tripod base, extending to twice its length, with a central wooden slat support. The base is rectangular and mounted on a massive frame. The tripod surface incorporates mechanisms that allow the camera to be moved and optimally positioned for taking photographs. The camera was manufactured in Vienna, at the R.A. Goldmann factory, established in 1858, likely in the 1860s.
