Made during World War II in Dachau. The pipe&#8217;s head is solid, carved from ebony, with a plastic mouthpiece connected to the head with a brass ring. The carved part is shaped like the head of a bearded man in the &#8222;Jacob type,&#8221; and on his head is a fur hat resembling the Jewish headgear, the shtreimel. The workmanship indicates the artist&#8217;s skill.
